Friday, the 6th of December, the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce hosted a memorable evening to celebrate Finland’s 107th Independence Day and the Christmas season. With a fantastic turnout, the event was a true showcase of Finnish culture, camaraderie, and festive spirit.

The evening began with glögg, a photobooth, and a warm welcome from CFCC President Marika Arovuo. Attendees enjoyed the Independence Day greeting from the President of Finland, read by Honorary Consul Peter Auvinen, followed by a heartfelt rendition of Maamme Laulu (the Finnish National Anthem). - Delicious Finnish Cuisine:
A traditional Finnish Christmas buffet stole the spotlight, prepared by Head of Catering John Christensen. From herring to Karelian pies, the spread received countless compliments, leaving guests raving about the authenticity and taste. - Music & Dancing:
Entertainment was provided by the Blank Cassettes, whose lively performances had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves well into the night. Their mix of humor and talent made them an instant hit with the audience. - Recognitions:
The Chamber inaugurated a new tradition of annual recognitions, honoring key contributors:- Corporate Partner of the Year: Miller Thomson
