We recognize that volunteers are one of our mist valuable resources and we work to provide trained volunteers to assist and complement staff in providing quality care and support to our residents and their families.

There is an organized volunteer program in place, which includes recruitment, screening, orientation, job-specific training and ongoing support and evaluation.

Volunteers perform a variety of duties. These include: friendly visiting, assisting with meals, escorting residents to appointments, taking residents for walks and outings, leading or assisting with regular programs, helping with trips and special events, providing office and clerical support and serving on Boards and Committees.
